I decided to create this blog because I enjoy visiting Bagamoyo when I am in Dar es Salaam, Tanzania. It is a quit little beach community about 70 km north of Dar Es Salaam Airport. The nice thing is that the last 45-50 kms are on a very nice tarmac road. The locals tell me that the politicians built the road so they could have ease of travel when visiting the witchdoctors in Bagamoyo.
If you are visiting Bagamoyo make sure you check out the Museum that has the artifacts from the slave trading era. It is very interesting to say the least.
I used to enjoy visiting the Paradise Hotel but last time I went it had been burned down in a fire.
